Terms & Conditions

For all TRANSITS I and TRANSITS II courses organised by TF-CSIRT.

Payment

TF-CSIRT accepts payment via credit card or bank transfer only. Payment will be made to TF-CSIRT’s bank account inside the Open CSIRT Foundation.

Bank Transfer

Payment must be made by bank transfer within 30 days of receiving the invoice and before the event takes place. Please ensure your payment includes all bank charges. The bank details will be on your invoice. Please note that bank transfers not made within 30 days of booking will result in your place to be cancelled and offered to another participant if a waiting list is in place.

Credit Cards

Payments may be made by credit card upon registration. Specific information how to pay by credit cards will be made available on request.

Cancellation

  1. Registration must be cancelled by sending an e-mail message to us or use the online registration service.
  2. Paid registrations cancelled up to 20 working days before the event will be refunded (minus €40 handling charge and any bank charges incurred).
  3. Cancellations made after this time will in principle not be refunded.
  4. All refunds will be made within two calendar months after the event.
  5. Substitutions may be made at any time. If you wish to substitute a delegate, please contact us at the earliest opportunity. We may need to see their CV to make sure the new candidate has sufficient experience for the course in question, and we reserve the right to decline based on that.

We recommend taking out appropriate travel and cancellation insurance for your registration fee, hotel and airline booking. This is sometimes included with credit card transactions, but check your own policy for details.

Please also ensure that you have appropriate health insurance coverage.

Please check beforehand if you need a visa for the country where the event is held and inform yourself about the visa application procedures and the time needed for processing a visa application. If you need an invite letter, tell us timely as such visa procedures tend to be slow.

VAT Taxation

We are sometimes asked why VAT can be included in the invoices for these courses, as in some countries training is VAT exempt, or there is the expectation of 0% VAT (reverse charging). TF-CSIRT is part of the Open CSIRT Foundation, which is based and tax-registered in The Netherlands, and as such we apply VAT as per the Dutch rules - but this can vary based on the location of the training. If you are inside the EU and supply us with your VAT number, please make sure that it is "EU VIES-valid" or else it is of no use to us - you can check this on the EU VIES VAT Validation website.
