74th TF-CSIRT Meeting: Oslo

A day dedicated to trainings and side meetings will be followed by two days of both open and restricted (formerly known as "closed") sessions:

The closest and most affordable hotel is the 4-star Thon Hotel Ullevaal Stadion.

It’s 1,6 km walking distance from the conference location. Although this hotel is away from the city centre, it’s 100m from a metro station which has a quick connection to the city centre.

Oslo city centre is a very nice location to stay, and has many hotels. Some of them have rooms at a reasonable rate. Just use the ‘usual suspects’ to find a hotel that fits your needs.

Just one tip: make sure you’re near a metro station as the conference location is not near the city centre.

From/to the Airport and Oslo City Centre

Oslo advertises two airports, but the best option is to travel to Oslo ‘Gardemoen’ airport.

From Oslo Gardemoen airport it is easiest to take the ‘Flytoget’ airport express train. You can buy tickets at a vending machine in the airport, next to the Flytoget entrance, but it is easier to use the ‘Flytoget’ app to buy tickets and check departure times.

From Oslo City Centre to Conference location

The easiest way to travel to/from the conference location is by taking  the T-bane Metro, line 4 or 5. Metro stop “Forskningsparken” is next to the conference location: Ole-Johan Dahls Hus (Institutt for informatikk – department of informatics).
